Conference: Society, the Future and Responsibility
28 May 09:15 - 14:10
Campus Skellefteå, Arenan (Hus M), Laboratorgränd 13
What have we learned from a decade of new “green” industrial investments?
The Municipality of Skellefteå and Umeå University invite you to a day aimed at gathering insights from recent years of industrial transformation in northern Sweden and building a shared understanding of its impacts and lessons learned. Through three sessions, the conference will explore how responsibilities, risks and benefits should be distributed between the state, municipalities and private actors when major industrial initiatives are implemented.
Particular focus will be placed on how the transition affects people, working life and local communities, as well as on issues of social equity and long-term sustainability.
The event is held in Swedish.
