Henrik Hagman Named Cleantech Profile of the Year 2025
Henrik Hagman, founder of Enduce, has been awarded Cleantech Profile of the Year 2025. His pioneering work in developing and bringing to market a unique shower heat recovery technology makes him a truly deserving winner.
A proud and honored Henrik Hagman accepted flowers and a diploma during the Cleantech Meetup in Sundsvall. As the founder of Enduce, he has spent the past decade addressing one of the biggest sources of energy loss in households – the shower. Typically, up to half of a building’s heat is lost down the drain, primarily from showering. Enduce’s solution reduces energy consumption, smooths out peak loads, and lowers climate impact in a sector that today accounts for around 40 percent of global emissions.
Cleantech Profile of the Year
The award recognizes an individual who has shown outstanding commitment and leadership in positioning themselves or their company within green technology, clean energy, or sustainable solutions in northern Sweden. In addition to the honor, the winner receives a competence grant of SEK 20,000 to be used for professional development, such as travel, training, or conferences.
This is the eighth year the award has been presented. From the nominations submitted, three finalists were chosen: Henrik Hagman of Enduce, Sofia Viklund of Peab, and Mårten Henriksson of Umeå Energi.
Henrik Hagman was ultimately named Cleantech Profile of the Year 2025 with the following motivation:
“The Cleantech Profile of the Year 2025 is the founder of Enduce and a cleantech pioneer who has developed and launched a unique heat recovery technology for showers – households’ biggest energy drain. Up to 50 percent of the heat in a modern building is otherwise flushed away through wastewater, primarily from showering. Enduce reduces both energy use and peak loads as well as climate impact from a sector that accounts for 40 percent of global emissions, and is the first and only company to be certified in Sweden’s strictly regulated HVAC market – establishing an entirely new product category. The climate benefits have been independently verified through LCA and EPD, showing enormous potential for the building and real estate sector to reach its climate targets.”
