New Initiative to Support Energy-Innovative Companies in Northern Sweden
The Swedish Energy Agency has launched a national initiative to help companies across Sweden develop, test, and commercialize energy solutions. In northern Sweden, the initiative is being implemented by Arctic Business, Skellefteå Science City, Uminova Innovation, and BizMaker.
The initiative helps companies take the next step with their energy innovations – from idea to market – through business development, verification of business models, financing, and collaborations with customers and investors, both nationally and internationally.
Key activities include coaching, seminars and workshops, matchmaking with investors, and guidance for applications to the Swedish Energy Agency’s funding programs. The goal is to help more energy innovations reach the market faster.
“We want to make it easier for companies with energy innovations to take the next step – whether it’s developing their business, securing funding, or creating collaborations that bring ideas to market,” says Anna Marklund, project manager at Skellefteå Science City.
The four innovation actors are working together to create a unified platform for energy innovations in northern Sweden, providing the right support at the right stage – from early development to expansion.
“Together, we are building a platform where companies with energy innovations can grow and contribute to the green transition,” says Erica Romedahl, CFO at Arctic Business.
