Arevo’s Plant Nutrition Technology Reaches New Markets Through Partnership
Umeå-based Arevo has entered into a partnership with Kekkilä-BVB to bring its arginine-based plant nutrition technology, Arginex, to consumer products across the Nordic and Baltic markets. The partnership marks another step in bringing Arevo’s technology to a wider market.
Arevo has developed Arginex, a patented plant nutrition technology based on arginine and phosphate. The technology is designed to improve plants’ uptake of nutrients and water while reducing nitrogen losses.
Arginex has already been proven in commercial agriculture and forestry. It will now be integrated into products from Kekkilä-BVB’s consumer brands Algomin, Hasselfors Garden and Kekkilä Garden.
From Professional Growing to the Consumer Market
Ahead of the partnership, Arginex was evaluated for agronomic performance, formulation stability and compatibility with Kekkilä-BVB’s existing consumer product lines.
For Arevo, the partnership opens up opportunities to reach a significantly wider market with its technology.
“Bringing Arginex into trusted consumer brands like Algomin, Hasselfors Garden and Kekkilä Garden puts the science – through our technology – directly into the hands of gardeners. Together with Kekkilä-BVB, we have already launched several successful products in Sweden in recent years. Now we are building on that, with a shared commitment to bring the same sustainable science to gardens across the rest of the region,” says Niklas Åström, CEO of Arevo.
Arginex is designed to keep nutrients available in the root zone and support the plant’s natural nutrient uptake. Arevo’s technology is based on several decades of research and is used in agriculture, forestry and horticulture.
