Wärtsilä is now investing EUR 200 million in the new Smart Technology Hub, a new centre of research, product development and production, in Vaasa. The Smart Technology Hub will invite companies, start-ups and academia within the industry for open collaboration within the following areas: Additive manufacturing, Co-creation, Machine learning (AI), Smart manufacturing ecosystems, System integration, Circular economy and Selected transnational suppliers.

Representatives from Wärtsilä will be meeting selected companies online. Due to the Corona-virus the event is postponed and will take place in September/October 2020.

This event consists of a general information session of Wärtsilä's Smart Technology Hub and individual meetings with companies selected by Wärtsilä. Registration is required for both parts of the program.

- This is a great opportunity for small and medium-sized companies and start ups to get in touch with a global company like Wärtsilä. We know that there are a number of innovative Swedish companies that could in different ways collaborate and do business with Wärtsilä to drive the development forward. We therefore hope that as many people as possible take the chance and register their interest, says Jenny Åkermark, international business developer Future Cleantech Solutions and responsible for the event.
