New Opportunities for Companies Through Cross-Border Collaboration
Small and medium-sized enterprises in Västerbotten have new opportunities to strengthen their competitiveness, find new partners and develop business opportunities across the Kvarken region. Through the new BRIDGE project, companies in Sweden and Finland will receive support to strengthen their ability to adapt to change and develop new cross-border collaborations.
Changes in the global landscape and disruptions to international supply chains have increased the need for companies to find new suppliers, customers and partners closer to home. At the same time, there is significant potential to strengthen connections between companies and expertise in Västerbotten and Ostrobothnia.
BRIDGE – Business Resilience Initiative for Development & Growth Ecosystems – aims to support this by offering activities that strengthen companies’ capacity for innovation and adaptation while creating new connections across the Kvarken region.
Support, Networks and New Business Connections
The project is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises in the Kvarken region. Participating companies will have opportunities to take part in:
- a one-year growth programme
- webinars and activities focused on resilience and adaptability
- matchmaking with companies across the Kvarken region
- opportunities to connect with potential customers, suppliers and business partners.
The project will also work to identify and strengthen value and supply chains between Sweden and Finland.
BRIDGE runs from 2026 to 2029 as part of the Interreg Aurora programme and is led by the Kvarken Council EGTC together with project partners in Sweden and Finland.
