Nordic Renew Resource is the Impact Maker 2022!

This year's winners of the regional finals of Venture Cup North were crowned on Thursday. North Sweden Cleantech presented the sustainability award Impact Maker 2022, which this year went to Nordic Renew Resource.

Each year, Venture Cup arranges four regional competitions that leads up to the big Sweden finale where the most promising startups and business ideas are celebrated. By doing this, Venture Cup wants to promote entrepreneurship. Startups compete each year to become Impact Maker, Best Traction, Beyond Academic or Game Changer and this year the award for Impact Maker 2022 went to Nordic Renew Resource.

Jury Motivation

With a product that has good conditions to contribute to a more sustainable industry with less pollution in soil and water, the company has a great positive impact on climate work. In an increasingly dirty world, the company is making it easier for industry to reduce its emissions and thus contributes to a cleaner world.

Nordic Renew Resource

The business idea is based on the Nordic Renew Resource offering the industry that has heavy metals in its process water and sludge a completely new technology for reducing the heavy metals and recycling them. With this business concept, we help industries and companies working towards zero emissions to be able to achieve this faster and in a circular economy. Most of the residues from the purification process can be recycled. It was a happy Håkan Stegby who recieved the award Impact Maker and Nordic Renew Resource is thus one of four winners from region North who is qualified for the Swedish national finals in autumn. Click here to read more about Venture Cup!
