This year's winners of Venture Cup was presented during Tuesday. North Sweden Cleantech presented the sustainability award, Impact Maker, which this year went to PlasticFri.
Each year, Venture Cup arranges four regional competitions that leads up to the big Sweden finale where the most promising startups and business ideas are celebrated. By doing this, Venture Cup wants to promote entrepreneurship.
The winner of Impact Maker 2020 is PlasticFri
PlasticFri minimizes the environmental impact of conventional petroleum-based plastic byg making an environmentally-friendly alternative. PlasticFri's products are 100% biodegradable, compostable and toxic free.

With this solution, the team shows multiple aspects of sustainability and facilitates for future generations to make smart choices in their everyday life. The solution is creative and shows a circular thinking since it makes a residual product into an asset.
