Cleantech Kvarken’s new business directory is now ready. In it, we have put together a fascinating collection of companies within the energy and environmental sectors in the Västerbotten, Örnsköldsvik and Vaasa regions.
Sweden’s two innovation county council members, Robert Winroth and Daniel Forslund, are working together on a project that will offer more long-distance solutions to primary health care and new compensation systems. During the spring, a preliminary study will be conducted involving Philips, a high tech firm and Roche pharmaceuticals.
The question of the day was whether the public sector, together with the private sector, can stimulate development and enhance the competitiveness of companies, with policy in mind. The event was moderated by Mattias Goldmann, CEO of the Tankesmedjan Fores, and the organisers were Region Västerbotten, Miljösamverkan Västerbotten, Energikontor Norr, Företagarna and Cleaner Growth.
A company matchmaking event will be held in Örnsköldsvik on February 25 for companies working in the clean tech industry. Companies from Skellefteå, Umeå, Vasa and Örnsköldsvik will participate in the event aimed at establishing new business contacts.
At the fifth annual Nordic Cleantech Open, which attracted more than 113 clean tech firms, LunaLEC from Västebotten was selected by the jury as one of the Nordic region’s 25 best cleantech startups.
The next major project for northern Sweden was presented to Sweden’s Minster of Energy Ibrahím Baylan and 60 or so invited guests yesterday. With this, companies that focus on clean environments and climate smart technology will earn even more government support.
